TFTM Autobot Jazz

This was a weird project - I was pretty much not a fan of the mold, design or colors of this toy at all - just look at how awful this guy is! And let’s not even get started on the joke of the character in the movie… oh brother!

But something about it, I knew, I just KNEW that if I pushed it into the mud, and held it there for awhile, it’d come back up SCREAMING for air.

And you know what? I was right.

Took this guy to the terms, and he came out great. Used some Krylon Fusion Metallic Shimmer for the overall, and a bunch of custom enamel metallic colors for all the other little stuff, and it really came to life. This guy really glows now, I kid you not. Also, the biggest part, and maybe my major gripe about all the movie toys has been their lack of decent tires - so I ripped apart a Maisto 1/32 car I got on clearance at Target, and now Jazz here has for real rubber tires - with treads even!

All it took was a little TLC to get this guy to pop, and again, shows just what a poor job Hasbro did on the paint apps for this whole line. Way to go Hasbro!
