It was fun while it lasted!
Alas, that’s not the last you’ll be hearing from me though! You can stay up on all my comic work and toy crap soon by checking out erechoveraker.com, OR you can be one of the kool kidz and add me as a friend over at myspace (yeah yeah, don’t ask, I’m back.) and then we’ll all be fancy.
As for this place…. who knows. Just. Who. Knows.
Thanks guys.

Perusing around looking at possible new servers (I’ve never really liked the control panel side on this one since we moved here earlier this year, even though I can only think of like 2 times the site has actually been down - I’m weird I know…) and looking at sites on one of the hosts I came across this one.
I don’t even know if it’s a joke or not.
Jesus.

Did ANYONE like Ultimate Loeb #1? I haven’t seen a book this universally panned by critics in like, awhile.
Even the usual Marvel suck-ups seem to fully hate it, are baffled by it’s awfulness, or were just bored to tears by it. AND it doesn’t even sound like it’s selling very well, either.
Wow, that’s kinda awesome actually.
Ellen Forney has a new book coming out, and Newsarama actually interviews her about it. Occasionally Brady’s shithole actually gets something right.
Putting this on the growing list of books I need to buy and read next year, including the 4 or 5 good books from this Fall I haven’t bought or read yet either.
COMICS!

This is what I wake up to today. And I had lots of shit to do like running around and errands and all that kinda stuff.
BOO.
I’m about to say eff x-mas for the people who we aren’t done shopping for, which is MOST of MY people on the list, but this is just getting crazy and I have to get back to drawing.
Oh well, at least I have a bunch of Pardo-casts to keep me warm today. Gah.

It went by WAY too fast. I didn’t get nearly as much done as I needed to, and will be taking a few more days (if not most of this week) off to finish it up. Ugh, stupid X-mas.
Bunch of emails I need to read and reply to, but I probably won’t get to that either, because READING IS A CHORE.
Don’t have much else to say other than that. Saw No Country For Old Men on Saturday - I don’t know if I liked it, but it was pretty intense. Bardem is pretty much a shoe-in for an Oscar, at least the nom for sure I’d imagine.
The End.

Haven’t got any updates on here for awhile, so I’ll bang the last week out quickly to catch up.

BACK BACK BACK!
Missing a few days in-between each other lately, but I’m still getting lots of work done, unlike the old me who wouldn’t update OR work every other day.
• Worked up a another bunch of inks for a page today, things are really heating up and getting fun.
That’s never a good party to show up to.
Anyways, might work a little tomorrow, but have some shit to take care of around the house this weekend, then try to bust out a bunch of shit before Turkey day. Yay.
Busted through pretty much the whole what, 15 hours of Doug Benson and some other funny people talking about crappy movies. Awesome listening, and I hope it comes back at some point, but nothing I’m late to getting into that then stops being made or gets cancelled before I fall madly in love with it ever comes back. Never.
That’s all I got. Back Monday, douchebags.

Missed updating this for a few days, clearly you were all sad.
Sunday we did some shopping, and stopped by the Handmade Arcade, kind of an indie arty diy fair, which ended up being far more packed with vendors AND customers than I would have guessed if asked about it before we went - it was pretty nuts. Sadly, we didn’t end up buying much (got some magnets for a gift, and a Decemberists print from strawberryluna yay!) because the whole thing was skewed very… I dunno, indie poofish? If I was a 16 year old scenester chick I’d have been all over shit, but as it was, what good do I have for peacock-printed half shirts and pillows that look like squids, etc. It was all a lot of really pro looking stuff, but it just felt like everyone was biding their time to get into the Urban Outfitters catalog, yeah?
Next year I might try to sell some crappy art there though, I can be a hack too!
Anyways, no update on work here yesterday, as I didn’t get much done. We relaunched the AltGN blog yesterday with a new design, of which I had some doing - helping the layout AND creating the new mascot (which I hinted at last week), one Mr. Serious Business Robot, the robot who takes business serious!

After that, spent the day doing some writing, and then some house work, and then the day was gone, wow.
However, today was different.
• Worked on a new page of crap, it’s getting pretty bleak in this story, I’ve got iTunes on shuffle just rotating randomly through all 40 gigs of music here, I go in and skip through songs every few tracks looking for more upbeat stuff to keep me going. Book is close to done, but I am leaving all the horrible and depressing imagery for last to draw - yay! Got a bunch done today though, most of a page, which is good for me. Back to more tomorrow.
I’ve got a bunch of emails to wade through still, and this weekend will be spent working on a toy project, planning my Thnxgiving menu, and I am sure lots of other crap I don’t know about yet.
Oh yeah, before I end this - watched the final episode of Home Movies the other night - so sad. That show had plenty of legs left, and the final episode actually felt kind of jarring to the momentum of the previous few episodes to it. I really hope they can do something else with it, it’s really a brilliant show, and while visually I know I could make something as good (or better haha) looking, the writing on it - or rather the acting, which is key - is so much damn fucking genius that it makes me want to intentionally try and never ever create anything else again. How the hell is that even imrpov, it’s so seamless??
Damn fucking genius!
RIP Home Movies.

Today went by too fast.
• Worked a lot, got a bunch done on a page, moving on to the next one, I guess Monday - as I have tons to do this weekend. Page looks good though.
• Read a pitch today for a Captain America thing from a friend - I liked it, and if I wasn’t sure A) Marvel Comics will never hire me to draw the Cap’n and B) I’m not hard up enough to do spandex - I would totally like to take a stab at drawing it. Which is quite the compliment to the pitch, since again, points A and B up there.
No plans for tonight - well nothing AWESOME. We’re gonna make some homemade mac-n-cheez, hang out, watch some of the last disc of Home Movies Season 4 - boring but nice. Unless you really love cheese and noodles and cartoons, which I do, so fuck you saying my night was gonna be boring - IT GONNA BE CHUNKY!
I have a lot of shit to do this weekend - what about you??
