My non dayjob days have been a bit more hectic lately, and as such I’ve had trouble staying focused and keeping a good schedule on art like I was before. Of course, 105º days in Seattle over the summer don’t help with that either, when it gets that hot I just want to punch the sun in the face and never do anything productive ever again. EVAR!
That said, back to updating things again, to help keep me on track. Think of the site as my replacement for not having an editor on any of my stuff - and despite what anyone may say about editors, that is the one drawback of being a freelance creator - the lack of anyone kicking you in the ass in the morning and keeping you on a deadline!
• Things are quickly wrapping up on Descent, the graphic novel written by Andrew Dabb and being drawn by me, that has been in production for like some insane number of years now (too afraid to count). I think I have 3 scripted pages left to ink, and then whatever else I want to add in there to pad the pagecount. Since last I updated the site, I showed off the cover over on Twitter - which in case you missed it, here it is again:
Currently looking for a toner for the book too, prefer to work with friends on this but if I don’t hear from any of you soon, I’ll just put an ad up on Deviantart or something and give the money to a STRANGER. (email me @ erechATmurdershow.net if you’re interested)
• Ramping up work on the webcomic that me and my Late Night Thing co-host have been working on for awhile. Still a ways out before we start putting pages out, but we’re getting close to full on production mode. I figure by Xmas, the first “two issues” should be done. Or rather, I hope so at least.
Anyways, here’s some more sketches for that:

And yes, I’ve already heard the man-toe comments. It’s called a zipper, jerks.
• Finally, was invited by my old friend Grant Hunter to participate in an art show based on T-Rex/Dinosaurs, not my favorite subject in the world but Grant is the homie so I agreed to help out. My original plan was just to paint up a Grimlock Transformer all cool and send that down to him, but time got the better of me and I knew I’d need at least 2 weeks from the show to get it down to Australia in time - and I ran out. Didn’t really have a back-up plan on that though, but Grant wouldn’t let me give up, so I ended up sending him this, named simply enough “Dinosaur Suit”:
The idea was supposed to be a play on like those Anne Geddes baby pictures, but I don’t think I nailed that at all. Instead, this thing just looks creepy, too colorful, and gross. Grant seemed happy with all of that though, so yay. If you’re in Australia anytime over the next few weeks, stop in and check it out I guess:
And with that, I think that’s about it.
My site is acting terribly strange lately too apologies if comments and links are being buggy. Might be time to actually upgrade to a newer version of WP, as that is what runs the site. Or maybe not.
LAZY.
