2 in one week, oh boy!

• Managed to check off THREE points from my aforementioned 13 point to-do list in the last 2 days, which is a list of the stuff that is left to be done on my and Andrew Dabb’s original graphic novel Descent. It’s been a long and arduous road, but the end is so near I can taste it! Tuesday was the most productive, if only going by checks, when I knocked two of them off. Today was less so, but was more fulfilling in a way because I got some stuff into a page I’d wanted to for awhile, and it turned out great. And it’s a hell of a page now too. Yay. Tomorrow will hopefully wield equal levels of results, but there’s a lot of inking to do so I’m thinking it’ll be a 2 day endeavor at least. It’s good to have a list like this for me though I’ve found, some form of motivation and it keeps me in check about what I need to do, instead of drowning in the immensity of all the work that lays ahead.

Also, I’m never inking my own work ever, ever again. Ever.

• Got an email today about that WWII shirt design I did last month for the friend hosting a veterans reunion, that I was nice:

“The event went off without a hitch and the guests said it was the best reunion they’ve been to (and they’ve been going 24 years). Can’t see what effect your logo had on that decision, but there you go.”

“However, we did raffle off some of the t-shirts with your logo on them and they were a hot item. Almost everyone (85+ people) tried to win one of 6 shirts we raffled off. Hope you like them.”

How dare he suggest my shirt had nothing to do with the success of said event. How dare he indeed.

Wrapping things up a bit early today, hand is starting to ache, and I feel like I got enough good in for the day already. Plus, I got some new toys today from Toysrus.com - a WWE action figure for like 2 bucks which I am going to use for a stupid and simple custom which should get more than a few laughs, and also… dun dun dun, one of those new Movie Master Dark Knight figures. Only, damn TRU sent me the Joker when I ordered Batman, lame. Not that I didn’t plan to get Joker down the road maybe, but still, I wanted Bats, and the disappointment of waiting all day for the the UPS to arrive to find the ordered goofed, pretty annoying. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d send it back for an exchange, or maybe even sell if to someone on one of the toy message boards I hang out at, but I’ll probably keep him. Maybe I can make a custom bottle of sleeping pills for him and sell it on ebay then for a tidy profit, yeah?
