Wanna get all caught up for the week? Yay, me too!

• So I ended up not getting as much done last week while Jenny was gone as I had hoped - surprise surprise. I was really burnt out on Thursday and ended up just sitting around watching tv shows I’d been meaning to catch up on, eating junk food, and being lazy. Friday I got a little work done, and also spent some time cleaning up the house etc. Friday night, played some XBL Poker with some friends, which was fun, if short. I figured this week would be spent doing the “heavy-lifting” of art and nailing up some finished pages to send to Dabb, but alas, I just don’t have it in me. Monday I got tied up with some writing for Murdershow, and the day was over before I knew it. Today I got in a lot of inking work, but it was all easy stuff, and every time I try to get near some pages that need a lot of work on them, I freeze and just let myself get distracted by music, or websites, or something. Wrists have been hurting all week, tired/low energy lately, it’s already getting hot outside (even though it was in the 30’s like 3 weeks back… yeesh) and I just haven’t got the patience to stick with it. It’s frustrating to see myself blocking my own progress this far into the book, but I dunno what to do. The heart does what it will, or some such crap.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better, work-wise.

Today was also the Pennsylvania state primary, and I decided to sit it out. I’ve caught a lot of flack for doing so, but let me explain. I was going to vote for Hillary, but after a week of annoying all-hours automated calls and dead-tree mailers from her and Obama’s camp for the last week and a half, I said nope. Fuck em both, they brought the ghetto out of me, and so be it. I’ve counted no less than 7 calls from Obama or his wife today, all automated and obnoxious and awful. If bugging me on the phone and blowing money on flyers is seriously all they’ve got for ideas on how to get voters out, then I want nothing to do with em. Shit, I might even just vote for McCain out of spite, now.

Plus, ultimately I’m at the point I don’t care which of them wins, either would be about equal as far as I am concerned, in that I don’t think either one of them is going to beat McCain anyways. So to hell with it, right?
